This is the worlds largest tarantula by mass ( according to leg span it is the Giant Huntsman Spider )

This Tarantula can be found in South America. Females can live up to 15 to 25 years while males can only live 3 to 6 years.

These spiders can have a leg span up to 28cm and can weigh up to 170g.

                                                                         

                                                        Diet

It is called the Goliath Bird Eating Spider because some people see this tarantula eating birds.

Normally it doesn't eat birds. Their main diet are insects, lizards, rodents, snakes, frogs and toads.
